Children's Pottery 3 Day Summer Workshops

27th to 29th July

& 24th to 26th August 2022

Looking for a fun activity for your children to learn this Summer Holiday?

After the success of our Easter Workshop this year, Lucy Hogan, the founder of Wildcroft Pottery,

is running two separate three day tailored Pottery Workshops for children aged 8+ on:

27th -  29th July 2022 10am-12.30pm

And

24th - 26th August 2022 10am - 12.30pm

No previous experience is necessary. The workshops are intended to be a fun way for children to learn a new skill & get their hands mucky!

What will the children make?

Each child will be taught to make the following:

  • Pinch pot animals or pots

  • Coil mugs with handles

  • Slab plates

They will also learn how to:

  • add texture using tools & overlays

  • join pieces of clay together

  • add colour using colourful slips & underglazes

Creations will all be fired, a transparent glaze applied by Lucy and then fired again. The pieces can then be collected from Wildcroft Pottery.

Where is the workshop & how is it run?

The workshop is held in Wildcroft Pottery's fully equipped garden studio, in Witley, near Godalming, Surrey where there is ample space for 6 children.

Lucy will personally demonstrate a step by step approach to building each item, so that the children can build their own whilst being continually guided. The children will have supervised access to the pottery tools required to make each piece.

What is the cost?

£95 per child for a 3 day course

Cost includes clay, tools & equipment, decor, two firings of each piece, aprons & refreshments.

How do I book?

'Our two daughters spent an amazing 3 mornings with Lucy at Wildcroft Pottery this Easter holiday & both raved about it. They loved making the pottery items. - varied, individual & a lot of fun while acquiring new skills. They truely enjoyed Lucy & said she was a great teacher - both kind & supportive & very creative. Overall a fabulous experience, with beautiful crafts, good friends & guidance. Thanks.'
