Children's Pottery Summer Workshops

23rd and/or 24th July

Looking for a fun activity for your children to learn this summer holiday?

Why not sign your child(ren) up to one or both of our hand-building pottery workshops held in our garden studio in Witley, Surrey.

 

For children aged 7 and over, our 2.5 hr pottery workshops will be run on:

23rd July 10am-12.30pm &/or 24th July 10am-12.30pm

​

Cost £35 per day per child

​

  • No previous experience is necessary.

  • The workshops are intended to be a fun way for children to learn a new skill & get their hands mucky!

  • Projects include wacky pen pots, animal plaques, fruit shaped bowls, crazy fridge magnets & tic-tac-toe games

  • Step by step instructions will be provided by Lucy Hogan, owner of Wildcroft Pottery, to guide the children using the hand-building techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building

  • They will also learn how to add texture using tools & overlays, join pieces of clay together & painting their masterpieces using colourful slips​

  • All equipment, clay, paints & aprons are provided

  • Drinks & biscuits half way through the lesson

  • The children will have supervised access to the pottery tools required to make each piece.

  • All creations will all be fired, a transparent glaze applied by Lucy and then fired again. The pieces can then be collected from Wildcroft Pottery 4-5 weeks later.

  • Max 6 children per class
