Children's Pottery Workshops
Easter Holidays 4 - 8th April 2022
Looking for a fun activity for your children to learn this Easter Holiday?
This Easter holiday, Lucy Hogan, the founder of Wildcroft Pottery, is running tailored Pottery Workshops for children aged 8+ every day from 4th and 8th April between 10am -12.30pm with the option for children to attend 3, 4 or 5 days. No previous experience is necessary. The workshops are intended to be a fun way for children to learn a new skill & get their hands mucky!
What will the children make?
Depending on how many days a child attends they can hope to to make at least two of the following pieces:
-
Pinch pot animals or pots
-
Coil mugs with handles
-
Slab plates or coasters
All pieces will be decorated with colourful slips by the children. They will then be fired, a transparent glaze applied by Lucy and then fired again. The pieces can then be collected from Wildcroft Pottery.
Where is the workshop & how is it run?
The workshop is held in Wildcroft Pottery's fully equipped garden studio, in Witley, near Godalming, Surrey where there is ample space for 8 children.
Lucy will personally demonstrate a step by step approach to building each item so that the children can build their own whilst being continually guided. The children will have supervised access to the pottery tools required to make each piece.
