Intensive Adults Pottery Courses

Experience the relaxing benefits of hand building pottery during a three day intensive course plus a Saturday morning to glaze work once it's been fired

For over 18 year olds, no experience necessary, the course is intended to be a fun, stress free way to built some stunning usable pieces of pottery.

3 Days + 1 Day Glazing

18 - 20th July 2022 + Glazing 10th Sept 2022

or

 14th - 16th September 2022 + Glazing 15th October 2022

All sessions 10am-12.30pm

What will I learn?

Using the 3 main hand building techniques of pinching, coiling & slab building you will be taught to make different shaped masterpieces with texture, colour & pattern. Learning how to fuse shaped pieces of clay together, manipulate the shape of pottery pieces, apply various decorative techniques using slip and underglazes, as well as add texture using tools and overlays you'll be able to produce some stunning work. 

After the 3 days all pieces will be fired and ready for glazing on a Saturday (as per the stated dates). All pieces can then be collected after a second firing.

Where is the workshop & how is it run?

The courses are held in Wildcroft Pottery's fully equipped garden studio, in Witley, near Godalming, Surrey, where there is ample space for 6 adults.

Lucy will personally demonstrate a step by step approach to building each piece, so that you can build your own pieces whilst being continually guided.

What is the cost?

£165 per person

Cost includes clay, tools & equipment, decor (slips/underglazes & glazes), two firings of each piece, aprons & refreshments.
